An overview 3-day hiking in the Atlas Mountains through the Berber villages, valleys of Azzaden, Dknt and Imlil. During this trek, you will meet local communities, cultivated terrains, shepherds with their goats, gorgeous landscapes, delicious & and fresh food in the calmness of nature. This trek is suitable for families, kids and elderly people and can be expended to adventurous people.
Tour Itinerary
Day1: Marrakech - Imi Oughlad - Tinzert,
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your accommodation in Marrakech to Imlil valley especially Imi Oughlad (1450m) passing by Tahnouate,Moulay Brahim gorges and Asni. Here, you will get onto Imi Oughlad where you will meet Berber muleteer, cook and guide. After a cup tea, our hike starts by heading up through a beautiful juniper tree which is characterized by the variety in its colors( green, yellow, red ). After Lunch in an open air spot, we carry on by exploring fauna, flora and the beauty of this area.
Spend the night in a Berber guesthouse.
Today's walking: 4 hours.
Day2: Tinzert - Azzaden valley - Id Aissa,
After breakfast, we will enjoy our hike by indulge more in the stunning beauty of this valley before heading up and traverse to Azzden valley while enjoying and observing the most impressive sceneries of Toubkal peaks above 4000m. Lunch will be in the river under walnuts trees before continuing though the valley, observe the typical architecture of these villages and interact with lifestyle of the locals. Overnight in Id Aissa village. Today's walking is 6 hours.
Day3: Ait Aissa- Tizi Oussem- Tizi n' Mzik - Imlil ,
Today, our journey continues to the last village of the valley and find out a unique example of cultivation of Tamsoult village, a summer village for the locals. Then, join the way that goes up through the juniper forest of Toubkal national park to the pass of Tizi n'Mzik (2489m). Here, you will see the valley of Imlil in a distance and enjoy more pleasurable views as far the eyes can see.
After lunch, you will be transported back to Marrakech from Imlil. Today's walking is 5-6.
