DAY1: MARRAKECH- IMLIL VALLEY- OVERNIGHT IN A BERBER GUESTHOUSE,

We will pick you up early in the morning from the city of Marrakech passing through Tahanaout, Moulay Brahim and Asni. It takes an hour and a half to reach the village of Imlil. On the way, you will enjoy the view of a variety of landscapes, mountain streams, colorful rock slopes, valleys and villages. When we reach the village of Imlil at an altitude of 1,745 meters and the preferred starting point for hikers to discover the High Atlas. From here, we start our walk visiting some villages, passing through waterfalls while enjoying gorgeous landscapes until we reach Armed, the last Berber village at 2000 meters where we will have a delicious lunch. We will have tea with creps and cake during the afternoon in a Berber family house. Spend overnight in Armed village. 4-5 hours hike.

    Day2: MARRAKECH-IMLIL-TOUBKAL REFUGE,

We begin from the village of Armed onto Toubkal National park (the oldest parc in Morocco), pass through a juniper forest onto to the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. We continue east, crossing the river and arriving at the shrine of Sidi Charamouch, a favourite destination of tourists and pilgrims alike. Sitting beside a small waterfall, the village is a jumbled grouping of houses that appear to melt into one another. Here, we stop to enjoy a delicious lunch cooked by our cook. Here the trail climbs steadily, meandering its way up toward the Toubkal Refuge. After the day's trek of approximately 5-6 hours we spend the night here, in anticipation of tomorrow's ascent to the summit.

    DAY3: TOUBKAL REFUGE-TOUBKAL SUMMIT-TOUBKAL REFUGE-IMLIL-MARRAKECH,

We start our day early in preparation for the ascent to the summit of Jebel Toubkal, the jewel of the Atlas. Following the southern cirque, we cross the stream above the refuge and move across one of the many scree fields. The boulders and rock fields require some negotiating. This portion of the trek is fairly simple; however, the scree require some slow pace for better adjustable . The views afforded by the ascent will more than compensate for the effort made. As we crest the ridgeline, we arrive on the plateau. From here it is a short hike to the summit. The views from the peak are indescribable. You will know then why you made the journey. As Pliny the Roman scholar once remarked, the Atlas are "the most fabulous mountains in all of Africa." We retrace the same way back to the base camp for lunch. Then, continue to Imlil valley and the transport will be provided back to Marrakech. You will be here during the evening.
